A Word about Julie King
The loss of Julie King in a fire on New Years day 1997, has had a tremendous impact on those Who knew Julie and her family. The King family is grateful for the overwhelming participation and generous support from local businesses and community volunteers. They are pleased to have the opportunity to continue this special event, and to direct proceeds to three beneficiaries this year-The Julie King Memorial Scholarship Fund at Fairview High School, Erie Runners Club Scholarship Fund and the YMCA of Greater Erie.

Julie was a 1991 graduate of Fairview High School where she lettered in soccer for four years, went to"States" in track and was co-captain of the swim team after lettering all four years.

A 1995 graduate of Colgate University, she swam for four years at the college level and was co-captain of the team of her senior year. Following graduation, she continued her athletic interest in biking, golfing, hiking and running. Julie loved athletics and made many friends among her teammates and fellow competitors. She was a friend to all who knew her.

In memory of this truly remarkable young woman, bring your family and friends for a fun mornirlg of fresh air and easy exercise-all the while benefiting Julie's
scholarship fund, a scholarship offered by the Erie Runners Club and the YMCA of Greater Erie. Make it a special Mother's Day tradition.
